Training to be a UKCP registered psychotherapist involves many years of post-graduate study.

Post diploma certification in relationship counselling
I have also undertaken specialist training in the treatment of trauma and have a particular expertise in working with dissociative disorders.
My post graduate training as a relational integrative psychotherapist, including doctoral research, has extended over a period of more than nine years. My principal training organisation, the London based Metanoia Institute, is recognised as one of the leading training bodies within the therapeutic field in the UK. It has maintained a reputation for clinical and academic excellence since its foundation in the early 1980s. Graduate and post graduate qualifications are validated by Middlesex University.
I am registered as an Integrative Psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy UKCP and abide by their Code of Ethics.
As well as my work in Private Practice, I have clinical experience in various mental health settings. I have also worked within an organisational setting addressing employee stress, a counselling agency offering help to both individuals and couples, and I have co-founded a school counselling service where I worked therapeutically with adolescents for a number of years.
