Supervision & Clinical Consultation

This page is for both qualified and trainee counsellors or psychotherapists.

I offer supervision or clinical consultation to trainees and also to more experienced qualified practitioners. I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy both as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor and am also a Primary Supervisor with the Metanoia Institute offering supervision for the MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy.

I have experience in supervising practitioners who work in a variety of settings such as private practice, agencies, Employee Assistance Programmes, schools and universities, NHS hospitals and a leading childhood bereavement charity. I have also provided supervision whilst working within NHS Psychological Therapies to allied mental health professionals.

My supervisory practice is shaped not only by my training and background, but also by the value I place on my own experience of both individual and group supervision. I aim to offer supervisees a relationship that will stimulate and enhance their personal and professional development; a relationship that whilst educative, is also supportive and restorative.

My integrative approach is grounded in a variety of theoretical positions and is especially influenced by concepts from the relational psychoanalytic school, attachment theory and contemporary neuroscience. My thinking around my integrative model continues to evolve and I offer supervision to practitioners who work from a psychodynamic perspective as well as to those using different modalities. I also offer specialist supervision to clinicians working with complex trauma or dissociative disorders.

You are very welcome to make contact to enquire further or to set up an initial meeting to explore the possibility of supervision with me.
